About Us

MobileFusion, is a predictive analytics company serving a wide variety of customers, including process industries, financial services firms and the US military. We improve the accuracy and quality of critical, real-time decisions driven by large, complex and disparate data sources.

We developed a real-time predictive analytics platform using large-scale distributed computing, and machine learning that aids real-time decision. Our solutions are currently serving customers in the government and commercial sector.

OUR TEAM

Mark DeSantis President and Cofounder
Mark was previously the US Managing Director of ANGLE Technology, PLC, a publicly traded venture capital and consulting firm. Prior to joining ANGLE, Mark co-founded several technology-based businesses and is a director to several other technology firms in the US. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, Mark was the Director of Government Relations for Texas Instruments, Inc. in Washington DC and, in that capacity, was responsible for managing their public sector relationships in the US and abroad. Prior to TI, Mark served as a Senior Policy Analyst in both The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Administration of George H. W. Bush. He also served on the staff of the late U.S. Senator John Heinz and, prior to that, was a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton. He is an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University and holds a BA and MBA from the University of Dayton, an MS in Technology Management from The American University and a PhD in Public Policy from George Mason University.

Abhishek Sharma Vice President of Products and Cofounder
Abhishek is responsible for overall product development and design as well as working closely with our development partners. Just prior to cofounding MobileFusion, he developed large-scale intelligent systems for the retail industry and defense companies. Prior to that, he served in variety of research positions as the Principle Investigator and Co-Principle Investigator on various R&D contracts with DOD agencies such as DARPA, the US Army Research Lab and Office of Naval Research. He has authored numerous publications and has several pending patents in the domain of intelligent systems. He received a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, and a MS in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University. His previous work experience includes work with Daimler-Chrysler Research in Germany , INRIA in France and CalTech.

Al Nath Vice President of Sales
Al is responsible for overall sales and business development. Prior to joining MobileFusion, Al was the co-founder of a highly successful information technology solutions company and, in that capacity, responsible for sales and marketing Al attended the University of Pittsburgh and studied Business Administration. He also attended the US Army Technology Institute, Fort Monmouth and currently holds a secret security clearance.

Robert Delach CFO, and Vice President of Operations
Bob is responsible for finance and corporate infrastructure. He was previously CFO of Geospatial Systems, Inc. (GSI), which designs, manufactures and sells optical and radar imaging systems for specialized defense, homeland security, and commercial applications. Prior to joining GSI, Bob was a cofounder and CFO of MRO DIRECT, Inc. a commercial industrial firm, providing supply chain procurement technology. Prior to that, he served as COO/ CFO at Brightline L.P. and CFO to Mallett Technology. He has a B.S. in accounting from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

ADVISORY BOARD

Capt. Ryan McCombie (retired)
Ryan McCombie is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of MobileFusion, Inc. He is a retired U.S. Navy Captain with over 26 years of service. His last duty station was as the Senior Navy Representative and Faculty Instructor at the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and he was previously the commanding officer of SEAL Team 2. He spent most of his naval career in special operations and is highly decorated with over two-dozen significant medals and awards, including the Bronze Star (combat V), awarded for valor, a Legion of Merit and two Defense Superior Service medals and awards from the French and Vietnamese Governments. With the SEALs, he trained and served with commandos from all over the world being the 1st American to complete French SEAL training and serving a two-year tour with their elite Commando Hubert. He also served as the Operations Officer of the highly regarded Red Cell Team, which was the subject of much media reporting for its innovative and never-before-seen counter-terrorist and anti-terrorist missions. He has served in high-level positions at the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, DC and played a significant role in tasking special operations during Operation Desert Storm from his post at the Defense Intelligence Agency. He was selected by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as a member of a two man briefing team to brief four former U.S. Presidents at their offices and residences on combat operations for Desert Storm and is a graduate of Penn State University and the National War College in Washington, DC.

Major Gen. Steve Johnson (retired)
Steve is a recently retired Major General, U.S. Marine Corps and is currently a management consultant with Booz Allen. His last assignment in the Marine Corps was as the Deputy Commander, Combat Development Command in Quantico, VA. Prior to that assignment he was Commanding General, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) in Iraq. He has held numerous combatant command positions throughout his distinguished career in the Marine Corps including serving as the Commanding General, Second Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC. Steve holds a BA in Business Administration from Monmouth College, Monmouth, Illinois and attended both the US Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania as well the Spanish Naval War College, Madrid, Spain.

Jim Bullion
Jim currently works with a private equity investment company, where he serves as transitional CEO and advisor to a number of portfolio companies. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, having served in Iraq for 19 months, first as Executive Officer of a Civil Affairs Battalion, then as Operations Chief for the Multinational Security Transition Command. Prior to being activated, he was a senior executive with Genuity, Verizons $1 billion Internet arm, where he built and launched the IP Services Group and managed business development and strategic alliances for the Network Services Group. Earlier in his career, Jim built and managed international operations for UNIFI Communications, a high-growth start-upe began his career in banking and finance, with First Bank System of Minneapolis, and New England Investment Companies. Jim is a graduate of Dartmouth College and has an MBA from the Amos Tuck School. He graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and Airborne School, and served as an infantry company commander. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Action Badge for his service in Iraq.

Dr. Fernando De la Torre PhD
Fernando is an Associate Research Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, where his group conduct research in machine learning, signal process, and computer vision, with a focus on understanding human behavior from multimodal sensors (e.g. video, body sensors). He has extensively published in the area and serves on several technical committees in the field. He holds Ph D degrees in Electronic Engineering from La Salle School of Engineering Spain and Brown University. He has been a visiting researcher at University of London, University of Maryland, Xerox Palo Alto Research Center and Brown University.

Dr. Douglass Locke, PhD
Doug is a consultant to military, aerospace, industrial control, and telecommunications clients. He has an extensive background in software performance, real-time architecture, design, implementation and deployment, standards, software engineering maturity, and software development organization. His clients include or have included the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Naval Systems Warfare Center, Raytheon Corporation, and Sun Microsystems. Prior to creating Locke Consulting LLC, he served as Vice President Technology for TimeSys Corporation, Chief Scientist of Lockheed Martins Systems Solutions Organization, and Chief Scientist of Lockheed Martins Software and Systems Resource Center. He has acted as a consultant within Lockheed Martin and IBMs Federal Systems Division since 1981. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, and has received various awards including two IBM Outstanding Innovation awards.

Dr. Srikanth Saripalli, PhD
Sri is a roboticist with research interests in unmanned systems in general and aerial vehicles in particular and is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Arizona State. His research focuses on robotic exploration: particularly in air and space and necessary foundations in perception, planning and control for this domain. His work spans algorithmic design and implementation to field experimentation of aerial robots that explore difficult, dangerous and usually inaccessible places on earth and other planetary bodies to further scientific knowledge.
